Edgardo S Santos

Dr. Edgardo S. Santos is a founding member of Florida Precision Oncology, a Division of Genesis Care and the Medical Director of Research Services. He obtained his medical degree in 1994 at the National University of Panama School of Medicine. In 1998, he moved to the United States where he did an internship, internal medicine residency and hematology/oncology fellowship at Jackson Memorial Hospital/University of Miami School of Medicine. Dr. Santos has held various positions including Assistant Professor of Medicine at Tulane University Health Sciences Center, Associate Professor of Medicine at University of Miami, and Medical Director of Cancer Research at Lynn Cancer Institute in Boca Raton, Florida. Dr. Santos has more than 100 peer reviewed articles focused on lung cancer and has won several awards including the American Cancer Society Spirit Award. Today he is a Clinical Affiliate Associate Professor at Florida Atlantic University and is a part of the membership committee of the IASLC, the Editorial Group of IASLC Lung Cancer News. He is Secretary and a member of the Board of Directors for Florida Society of Clinical Oncology (FLASCO), Vice President of the FLASCO Foundation, Co-Chair of the IASLC Latin American Group (LATAM) and co-founding member of the Oncology Latin America Association (OLA). Dr. Santos is an active member of ACP, ASCO, ASH, AACR, and ESMO.
