Takashi Sato is a Junior Associate Professor of Medicine at Kitasato University School of Medicine in the Department of Respiratory Medicine. He is an experienced physician-scientist focusing on thoracic oncology including basic and translational science, clinical practice and research, and palliative/supportive care. His overall research goal is to characterize heterogeneity and plasticity of lung cancer using various approaches. He and his colleagues recently reported differential lineage states in lung squamous cell carcinoma and small-cell lung cancer.
