Wu Kan is a doctor in the Department of Thoracic Oncology, Affiliated Hangzhou Cancer Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine, China. Her research interests span comprehensive treatment and translational researches of thoracic oncology such as radiotherapy, chemotherapy, targeted therapy and immunotherapy. Her latest laboratory research focuses on the predictors of efficacy and adverse events in lung cancer after immunotherapy.

Dr. Sacha Rothschild is Assistant Professor at the University of Basel and Senior Consultant in the Clinic of Medical Oncology with a main focus on thoracic oncology and head and neck cancer. He is Director of the Lung Tumor Center and Chair of the Network for Molecular Tumor Therapy at the Comprehensive Cancer Center of the University Hospital Basel. Dr. Rothschild is the Medical Director of the Clinical Trial Unit in the Clinic of Medical Oncology and Project Leader in the Department Biomedicine at the University Hospital Basel. He earned his MD from the University of Zurich Medical School. Dr. Rothschild spent five years at the University Hospital Zurich, the Cantonal Hospital Aarau and the University Hospital Bern as resident and fellow. He obtained his board certification in Internal Medicine in 2007 and in Medical Oncology in 2009. In 2011 Dr. Rothschild earned his PhD degree at the University of Bern. In 2011 he joined the Clinic of Medical Oncology at the University Hospital Basel. Between 2014 and 2015 Dr. Rothschild joined the Interventional Immunology Group at the University of Cologne as a Research Fellow.
Dr. Rothschild serves as Member of the Board of Directors of the Swiss Group for Clinical Cancer Research (SAKK). He is investigator for several clinical studies of the network and translational research coordinator in many of these trials. Furthermore, he is investigator in international clinical trials as well as investigator-initiated studies. He is an author of numerous articles and book chapters with a focus on thoracic malignancies.
Dr. Rothschild serves as lecturer at the Medical Faculty and the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Basel. He supervised several Master and Doctoral Theses at the Medical Faculty of the University of Basel. Dr. Rothschild has a strong focus on the education of oncology residents and fellows. In his institution he is responsible for the educational program. On a national level he is Board Member of the SAKK Young Oncology Academy. Since 2018 Dr. Rothschild is Director of Studies for the Certificate in Advanced Studies (CAS) in Personalized Molecular Oncology.
