Maristella Bungaro, MD, graduated in Medicine at the University of Bari, Italy, in 2016. She is currently completing a postgraduate course in Medical Oncology at the University of Turin, Italy. Dr. Bungaro is involved in clinical research and treatment of patients with thoracic malignancies. Her areas of interest are the biology and treatment of lung cancer, primary prevention of thoracic tumors, supportive care. She collaborates with WALCE Onlus in national campaigns to raise awareness and primary prevention of lung cancer. In 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, she worked in the Onco-COVID Unit at San Luigi Gonzaga Hospital (Orbassano, Italy). Dr. Bungaro is a AIOM and ESMO member.
