Ben was born and brought up in Norwich, England. After obtaining his masters degree in chemistry from Hertford College, Oxford, he changed paths to study medicine at Barts and the London medical school. On graduating he was awarded the Kumar and Clark prize for the highest ranked student. He completed his Academic Foundation training in east London (Royal London and Whipps Cross Hospitals) and is now an Internal Medicine Trainee at University College Hospital in central London. He works across a range of medical specialities but has a strong interest in oncology, medical research and quality improvement.
