Dr Fiona McDonald
MA MBBS MRCP FRCR MD(res)

Dr McDonald is a Consultant Thoracic Clinical Oncologist at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust and is on the faculty at the Institute of Cancer Research in London, UK. Her research aims to improve outcomes by developing individualised approaches to lung radiotherapy through integration of targeted biological agents and immunotherapy with advanced radiotherapy technologies, including stereotactic radiotherapy, intensity-modulated and image-guided adaptive radiotherapy. She is the chief investigator for the HALT trial investigating SBRT in oligo-progressive disease in patients with mutation positive NSCLC and of the SARON trial investigating complex radiotherapy in synchronous oligometastatic NSCLC. She is also chair for the UK SBRT Consortium, a member of the IASLC advanced radiotherapy committee, a steering committee member of BTOG and a member of the NCRI and EORTC lung groups.
