Nir Peled

Professor Nir Peled is the Head of the Oncology Division at Shaare Zedek Medical Center at the Hebrew University, Jerusalem, Israel
Prof Peled is board certified in internal medicine, pulmonology and medical oncology.
Professor Peled is a KOL in the field of thoracic oncology. He is a board member at the International Association of Lung Cancer (IASLC) and the past-chair of its Screening & Early Detection committee. He was also act until recently as the Chair of the Thoracic Cancer Assembly of the European Thoracic Society.
Professor Peled’s research focuses on the wide translational and clinical perspectives of lung cancer, including personalized targeted therapy, immunotherapy, cancer evolution, biomarker development, and early detection of this disease. He has published more than 250 peer-reviewed articles, including guidelines on the early diagnosis of lung cancer, biomarker development, and treatment of advanced disease. Professor Peled is on the editorial board of numerous journals, including the Journal of Thoracic Oncology and other lung-cancer related journals.

Mehrad Bastani

Mehrad Bastani is an assistant professor at Feinstein Institute for Medical Research, Center of Health Innovation and Outcome Research (CHIOR). Before joining Feinstein, he served three years as a postdoctoral scholar in the Department of Biomedical Data Science at Stanford University as a member of Cancer Intervention and Surveillance Modeling Network (CISNET). He received his undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering from Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran, in 2011, MSc in Industrial Engineering from University of Tehran, Tehran, Iran, in 2013, and the Ph.D. degree Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering, University of Miami in 2017. During the past nine years, Mehrad has participated in multiple projects funded by AFOSR, NIH, and NCI. His research interests span the area of Data-Driven Simulation and Optimization, Medical Decision-Making, Decision Science, and Healthcare Delivery.
